About Us

Troika has over two decades experience producing shows of all types and sizes throughout North America and the world: touring, sit-down, casino and leisure markets.

International venues include Russia, Brazil, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Korea and Japan. Troika is most recently involved in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China with productions of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, 42ND STREET and CHICAGO as well as touring CATS through Central and South America with stops in Colombia, Panama, Mexico, Venezuala and Costa Rica.

The company is experienced in casino and leisure markets having produced for Caesars, Grand Casino, Hilton, Eldorado and Harrahs (Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Biloxi, Lake Tahoe and Branson.)

Current and upcoming productions include CATS, Fiddler on the Roof starring Broadway's Harvey Fierstein and Theodore Bikel, the World Premiere production of The 101 Dalmatians Musical, Jesus Christ Superstar starring Ted Neeley and the Twyla Tharp conceived and directed original production of Come Fly Away.

Located in Maryland in the Washington D.C. area, Troika is outside the New York mainstream. The company prides itself on thinking outside the apple, delivering a top quality product using cost-effective production methods.

NICHOLAS HOWEY Executive Producer, CEO
Has a Ph.D in theatre and studied repertory theatre in Prague. Together with Kary Walker he founded the Harlequin Theater outside Washington, DC, which enjoyed a 20 year run. Nicholas and the late Larry Shue were subjects of the play Wenceslas Square written by Shue, directed by Jerry Zaks and produced at The New York Shakespeare Theater. Together with Kenneth Gentry and Dallett Norris, Nicholas founded Troika Entertainment which tours shows throughout the world. He is happily married to actress Mary Ellen Nester, the father of two grown kids "in the biz" and young master Florin, who reminds him daily that life and the theater are "as good as it gets."
RANDALL BUCK Chief Operating Officer
Re-joined the Troika team in 1999 after completing his responsibilities as Vice President and General Manager for Livent, Inc. in Toronto. While working for Livent Mr. Buck managed productions such as Fosse, Ragtime, Showboat!, Music Of The Night and KIss of the Spider Woman. Mr. Buck has supervised productions on Broadway and around the world for over 20 years in varying capacities. Credits include Showboat!, Phantom of the Opera, Siegfried & Roy World Tour and Legends! Starring Mary Martin & Carol Channing to mention just a few. Since beginning as an apprentice with The Kenley Players in the late 60s, Randall has the privilege of working with directors such as Hal Prince, Joe Layton & Josh Logan as well as hundreds of stars. Randall is currently living happily-ever-after in southern Maryland with his wife Angela and their daughter Sierra Ashley Buck.
DONALD KINDL Chief Financial Officer
Graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1982 and again in 1988 with his Masters in Business Administration. He began his career with Combustion Engineering in Windsor, CT in 1982, and moved to Maryland in 1992 to assume the position of Comptroller with Troika. In his current position he oversees the daily operations of all aspects of management information systems, finance and accounting. Mr. Kindl and his lovely wife, Cindy, are the proud parents of three wonderful children: Stephen, Stacey and Scott.
GEOFF QUART Production Manager
Geoff is thrilled to be working his 5th season as Troika's Production Manager. Prior to joining the Troika team in 2004, Geoff spent three years as Project Foreman for Showman Fabricators, where he managed the build and installation of countless projects including the studio sets for CNN's American Morning, Paula Zahn Now and ABC Nightly News. Geoff began his career in Toronto, Canada as an Assistant Production Manager and Assistant Technical Director for Livent Inc. and Parallel Productions on productions such as Ragtime, Jane Eyre, The Vagina Monologues and The Lion King. Geoff and his wife Anne are enjoying life in blissful suburbia in New Jersey with their daughter Madelyn.
JENNIFER HOWEY Chief Strategy Officer
Is proud to be working in the family biz beside her father Nicholas and brother Christopher. A graduate of Madonna University in Livonia, MI, Jennifer attended graduate school at the University of Detroit-Mercy and studied advertising and marketing at Oxford University, Oxford, UK. In the capacity of Press Rep Jennifer has worked with Michael Bolton, Barry Williams, Patrick Cassidy and Gladys Knight to name just a few. Previous positions include Brand Manager for Feld Entertainment and Producing Associate for Starlight Vegas Company. Jennifer is very proud to be the mother of Nicholas Anndrej Joseph Howey.
ROBERTA ROBERTS General Manager
Is in her seventh year with Troika Entertainment. Prior to her current position, Ms. Roberts was Producer for the Cruise Line Entertainment Division of Paramount Show Services International where she produced and managed entertainment programs for numerous clients including Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Renaissance Cruises, Orient Lines and Cunard Line's Queen Elizabeth II. A graduate of James Madison University, Roberta is grateful for a career that has taken her to more than 45 countries. Roberta's most exciting production to date was her recent Panamanian wedding to husband, Yiannis Gianareas.
TONY RAY HICKS Costume Director
Originally from Virginia, and called New York City his occupational playground for 10 years, is excited to be Troika Entertainment's Costume Director. Tony Ray has played theaters around the globe including all 50 states, all the provinces of Canada, Puerto Rico, Tokyo, Teopei, Brazil and Chile, and in March he will add China to his resume helping mount the Asian tour of The Sound of Music. Tony Ray has served as the Wardrobe Supervisor for the National Tour of Cats, Evita supervised by Hal Prince, Starlight Express, Chicago starring Charlotte Damboise, Jasmine Guy, Sandy Duncan, Alan Thicke, Adrian Zmed and Ann Reinking. He also traveled with Michael Bolton with The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. On Broadway he worked in the wardrobe departments of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum with Nathan Lane and then Whoopi Goldberg. Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of the Opera, Movin Out, 42nd Street and Christmas Carol at Madison Square Garden with Tony Randall, Ben Vereen, Terrence Mann and Emily Skinner.
G CREATIVE Creative Shop
Created by Chris Howey in 2002 to service the advertising needs of Troika Entertainment, G Creative has grown into a full service creative boutique specializing in print design, broadcast production and website development. Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, G Creative produces advertising and design for a variety of clients in various industries including entertainment, automotive, gaming and consumer products.
